Goats Milk & Honey Soap
Melt & Pour - It's that simple! No lye!
Goat milk soap base contains a great source of many vitamins and nutrients to nourish the skin. Anti-inflammatory properties of goat milk soothe itchy skin and rich fats moisturize the skin. It can help with eczema and psoriasis, and also has a nice, creamy lather. What does honey do? It imparts a light, warm, sweet scent, and the added sugar content helps increase the lather. Honey is moisturizing, clarifying, soothing, and also naturally antibacterial; because of these properties, it's fantastic for the treatment of acne, aging, and general complexion brightening.
INGREDIENTS:

- 3 Tablespoons Organic Raw Honey

- 91% Isopropyl Alcohol, in a spray bottle
- Yellow and Red Soap Colorant or Natural Colorant
- 1 Teaspoon Liquid Oils
- Vitamin E Oil
- Coconut Oil
- Sweet Almond Oil
- Olive Oil
- Essential Oil
- Shea or Cocoa Butter
- Botanicals
- 1/8 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 3/4 Cup Ground Coffee
- 3/4 Cup Oats
STEP 1: CHOP
Cutting through the soft soap base is easy and can be done with a kitchen knife! Dice and cube the soap block into approximately ½” to 1” squares.
STEP 2: MELT
Place the cubes inside of a microwave-safe glass bowl and melt in the microwave or melt over a double broiler. Melt in 20-30 second increments, stirring well after each session, until melted to a milk consistency.
STEP 3: ADD HONEY
When the soap is completely melted, stir in 3 tablespoons of honey and stir with wire whisk.
STEP 4: ADD OPTIONAL ITEMS
Add vitamin E oil, essential oils, colorant, coffee grounds, or oats. All optional. Soap colorant is based on personal preference. 8 drops of yellow to 2 drops of red will give a deep golden color. 5-6 drops of yellow and 1 drop of red will give a light golden color.
STEP 5: MELT AGAIN IF NEEDED
If the honey or additives made the soap thicken up, return it to the microwave for 20-30 seconds until milky again.
STEP 6: POUR
Pour the melted soap into mold. Spritzing the surface of your freshly-poured soap with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol (or higher) will break the surface tension and help release trapped air bubbles. Allow to sit undisturbed until cool.
STEP 7: LET COOL
The cooling process can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on temperature and humidity levels.
STEP 8: POP OUT
When the soap is cool and firm, carefully remove them from the mold.
